Glad you’ve found us and so pleased to meet you! I’m Miranda Kozan, an interior designer and founder of Interior Couturier, a Singapore-based design firm specializing in luxury interior design.
Interior Couturier is here to help you live your best life at home with a focus on ease, elegance and functionality. I believe it is possible to increase your family’s happiness, sense of security and peace by creating a home that reflects you and responds to your needs. Afterall, our home has a very important role in our lives - it’s where we prepare ourselves to face the day, relax and restore, share and entertain. Just think about family movie nights sprawled on the sofa, a relaxed dinner with friends around the dining table, curling up with a good book in your favorite chair – this all happens at home.
You might own your own place or rent; however, home is where we spend our time, our most precious and finite resource. Wherever we may be, it is always worthwhile to make our space a home.
Everyone is different and everyone has different requirements for their interior design. Some are big entertainers with an open-door policy, others are reserved and view their home as their retreat. Part of planning a home is designing a lifestyle, we are constantly considering ways to reflect our clients lives, their travels, their heritage and express their interests through interior design. There are so many ways to suffuse a space with meaning whether it is through the materials, colours, textures or furniture and objects.
When embarking on a new interior design project, we follow a linear and systemized process which allows us to deliver projects on time and on budget. Step by step, we work through all the elements of the project, from taking your brief at the outset to developing a concept, designing the space, selecting and sourcing. We document the design and follow through to procurement, site advice and managing trades, deliveries, installation and styling, all culminating in an exciting Grand Reveal! We give regular updates throughout your project so you can follow along with the progress. We pride ourselves on exceptional service and do all the heavy lifting so you don’t have to. I make a point of using resources that focus on wellness and choose natural, honest materials over synthetic. I’m passionate about caring for our environment and working with environmentally conscious suppliers, local craftspeople and artisans wherever possible. The adage “quality over quantity” is always kept in mind when designing and sourcing and I really appreciate versatile items that can move from home to home, space to space. These “things” can be reworked in different ways, they become the fabric of our homes and are woven into our memories, to be cherished for many years to come.
There are so many elements that go into creating a beautiful, functional interior, whether I’m designing my own home or we are working with a client.
